We (or some of us) know that SSP can get boring and humdrum at times. That's where challenges come in. I'm not sure if this thread will become successful, but I have the best hopes.
Create a custom challenge that fits your devious likings and post it. Give it a name, create personal rules, and create a listing of everyone who has shown proof of completing the challenge. Try not to have the player download a certain texture pack or mod.
Here goes my challenge:
Overview:
You find yourself on land, close to a sea. The sweltering heat nearly causes you to faint, but you toil through it and collect supplies. You notice wildfires cropping up over the horizon, and your clothes are profusely drenched in sweat. Deciding that being outdoors is no longer habitable, you build a bridge out to sea where you create a platform upon which your house is built. The moon is just breaking the sky when you destroy your bridge and head to your house. As you walk back, the chill upon your brow is evident, and you can see your breath crystallize. You hurry through your door and welcome the warm glow of the torches. The coolness seeps through your door, however, so you destroy the door and replace it with two planks to keep out the weather.
Rules:
Set the game mode to Hardcore, and your difficulty to Hard. Turn your brightness to the lowest it can go, and your music and sound to the maximum. Create the world, collect supplies, build a house in the middle of an ocean (lakes/rivers are acceptable if no oceans are within a reasonable distance), and seal yourself up. You may no longer come in contact with the surface. Everything you do is underground or underwater, whereas it be a farm or an expansion to your house. Avoid getting within 20 meters of cave openings and survive for as long as possible.
Finish:
You have completed the challenge when you kill the Ender Dragon and return to the surface, banishing the harsh weather.
