Is anybody else unable to connect to minecraft.net upon game startup?

As the title implies. I tried getting online, but my launcher tells me I can't connect and asks if playing offline is ok. Which isn't ok of course lol

Anybody else having this problem?

I guess I'll finally put Chrome OS on my netbook like I planed last week since i have nothing better to do

Their auth servers might be down; they do go down sometimes, under heavy load or when Notch trips over a wire or whatever. Just keep trying, you'll get through.

It works now but that day it worked in browser but no on the standalone lol how odd!
