I was banned...

a couple days ago me and my friend joined the server and then we place some signs on someones base, and now i was banned for it. i read the rules it showed and i saw NOTHING on there being a BAN penalty on griefing. Isn't that a bit of an overreaction for just placing some signs??? I love the server even though i only played for one day, so could someone PLEASE unban me and my friend ChipChimp?

If your friend is banned, he'll need to post one as well.
