Ah, apologies. I assumed when you said hosted you meant actually physically hosted on our server.

I've put up a test chat window which links into our current IRC, you can access it by hitting the "Chat" menu link in the navbar up top.

As far as overlaying it onto the main index or something... no probably not gonna happen. Ugly.
