ENCHANTING!!!!!!

in the 1.9 pre release i tried there was a item that allowed you to enchant weapons and such.
i personally think that the enchanters need more power. so when 1.9 comes out can they have the power to enchant items?

I don't think Enchanters have much going for them right now. They have Piggify (which is amazing) and a bunch of supporting skills after that. If I was an Enchanter, I'd have little interest in leveling past 10. Sure it has other great skills but nothing really stands out like the PVP abilities of the Geo and Necro, and the utility of the Wizard.

This could be great for Enchanters!

i think it would be better if it stayed just with enchanters that way they would actually be useful and something ppl want to be . from what ive seen on herocraft is that enchanters Are probably the least chosen caster spec

imo it should be only enchanters, alchs already have enough going for them and chanters dont.

I could see alchemists getting potions, not sure how I feel about them getting enchantment. If it were going to be shared with any crafter class it should probably be Smith, since they're the ones that are supposed to be working with weapons and armor, and gives them more than "fix stuff".

Going off the meeting at the weekend the current plan for alchemy and Enchanting is that Enchanters will be the only class allowed to enchant items and all Crafters will be able to make potions, However all classes will be able to use the products of both.

I expect this will either be really good or really not come implementation. Having only Enchanters make use of the XP bar means there's an entire mechanic that most people can't utilize to their benefit, and there's not a reasonable way to pass off orbs to another person. Maybe that's fixable with mods? Something that makes orbs like a currency..?

As far as potions, having them be Crafter-only ought to be fine, although I think that restricting it only to Alchemist would be good too.

there will probably be more stuff that uses the xp bar in future MC updates.
