Me and toadsworth29 logged off HC for a bit to have some tnt fun :icon_twisted:

We returned to find we could not log on. We got this error:

Failed to login: <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN" "http://www.w3.org/tr/xhtml1/dtd/xhtml1-strict.dtd"

Is the server offline or something? Minestatus says otherwise...

are you using the right version to login to the right server? right now 1.5 is on herocraft.zapto.org:1248 and 1.4_01 is on herocraft.zapto.org

And its very strange again.

Got it working earlier with Brutals files plus the latest exe from minecraft.net.
Nothing has changed my end as far as I know and I'm getting that weird error message again... sigh

[Edit]Downloaded the exe again from minecraft.net and managed to log in...this is too weird for my old brain to figure out

Lol. Now, after trying to enter the server like five times, it says, "End of stream." I closed the window, reopened it, then I got the same message. I tried entering the server again, and I keep getting "End of stream".
EDIT: I tried playing via the browser, and redownloading the launcher, same result.
EDIT2: Found this on minecraftforum.net:

Problem: Your home router is blocking minecraft connections and inserting it's own error web page (thus the xhtml header)

Solution: Access your routers web interface and turn off web page filtering (or find a way to add minecraft connections to the white list; haven't figured out how yet for my router model)
