A MacPro I can understand, buy why play on a MacBook? That's like playing PC games on a laptop! I imagine it must be difficult.

I have a macbook pro 2012 retina display that I bought on ebay and fixed. I've ripped it apart and upgraded a tad. I also have a mouse, and headset, and windows 7 on bootcamp.
As a side note, Macbook Borderlands 2 and PC Borderlands 2 should work co-op wise. Bit buggy but it should work. And leftovers5 I'm barely into the game xD

Ah, it hasn't worked for PC/Mac coop for me yet.
