    Wizard, Necromancer, or Bloodmage?

    If you like to have high burst damage, be able to get into a lot of places, but be very squishy, wizard. If you want good survivability, and the ability to beat lots of classes in 1v1s, necromancer. I haven't really had any experience with bloodmage, so I can't help you there.

    I know, but I have had a few scenarios as a wizard where I have had to melee, and I can tell you that the 34 damage hoe adds up after a bit.

    It is very easy to get a skeleton to kill a creeper... Where as leather, you need to either buy it, or find cows. (or use a cow farm) Yes, but the difference is that in this scenario, if the wizard doesn't have a book, they do next to no damage. With paladin, while it is helpful, diamond armour...

    Well, books are kind of expensive for a main weapon... Although it is one leather to make one, that adds up after a while.
