Yes, I have been banned a couple of time before.
The 1st ban was from a Hardcore PvP server. The rules at the time stated I was allowed to set a homepoint 100 blocks away from another persons base. I set my home 100 blocks away from the nearest visible base however I was unaware of another base 50 blocks down from my homepoint. Needless to say I was banned.
The 2nd ban was for disagreeing with a disgruntled server owners decisions. This ban was overruled when said server owner quit and handed the server to one of his admins.

I got into minecraft a while ago after a friend recommended it as a great little game to relieve stress. As the game developed I became more engrossed into it and started to play on a great server I found. Unfortunately that server is a shadow of its former self and I'm looking to move on. Herocraft looks like a stable, well established server and I've heard from numerous sources that it offers great gameplay mechanic's also.
