Before i begin listing the classes abilities passives and general gameplay and purpose, i just want to say it's a little odd to have my first real post as a class idea, but i guess it's what im good at. Also, if this class idea is taken into account, feel free to change the name.
The Aegis
- Alright, I want to make this generalization of this class as smooth to read and understand as i can, but please bare with me if it gets a bit confusing, (although i heavily doubt it will). When i first thought up Aegis, i wanted a class that can get into a fight quickly and protect his allies. yes, this class is heavily similar to dragoon. I couldn't really decide how to Organize the Aegis, So i concluded at two ways the admins can create him. Either a medium - light armor class dealing ok damage, or heavy armor dealing little damage. i thought it would be pretty cool to have a class completely dedicated to protecting allies (But not through healing). Now we get into the exterior detail of the class. I imagine aegis being a winged warrior heavily equipt. His main weapon would be an iron sword (Which will deal more base damage than a normal iron sword, but less than a diamond sword). So, without further a due, i present my class idea, the Aegis
Class - Warrior
(I havn't settled all the numerals for the Aegis stats, like base health base mana and stuff, so i can not include that, maybe the developers can decide on that)
Level 1
-|Skill|, |Mana cost|, |Stamina cost|, |Cooldown|, |Reagents|, |Effects|
-Potion, none, none, 3 Minutes, A potion... of course... -( This class can use potions! )-
-Tumble, none, none, Passive, none, -( The Aegis will take no fall damage unless exceeding 5 blocks )-
-Winged warrior, none, none, Passive, # feather, -( After exceeding 5 blocks, he/she will softly glide, consuming one feather every second, If the Aegis decides he/she does not want to use winged warriors passive, but instead conserve feathers, he/she can toggle the ability by simple doing /skill wingedwarrior. (Command can not be used in combat, however if wingedwarrior is toggled on during combat, and effect will apply, but consuming a feather every .5 seconds. This Passive will never consume ALL Feathers, meaning there will always be one remaining... (I am open to opinion, this passive wasn't really well thought out, please tell me what YOU would change about it, thanks). )-
-Spiral / Whirling Dash, none, 325 stamina, 8-5 second cooldown, none, -( The Aegis spins rapidly while accelerating 4 blocks(Affected by agility), penetrating through up to 3 targets. Each target the aegis hits will take 100 damage(affected by strength), also, for every 1 enemy the Aegis hits, the cooldown of this ability is decreased by 1 second. (Might wanna change that to .5) )-
Level 5
-Determined survival, none, none, Passive, none, -( The Aegis thrives for the survival of his comrades increasing the constitution of his party members, Not Including himself, with each attack. One left click attack increases the Aegis' party members constitution by 0.5(Affected by Constitution of the Aegis with the passive), which will cap at a maximum of +5 constitution.The affect will last for 3 seconds, or unless the Aegis lands another hit. Once the maximum amount of bonus constitution is reached, allies are forced into cooldown, however the Aegis can quickly bring the stacks back up. Though, the maxiumum amount (5) can only persist for 3 seconds. This passive will not stack or bounce through one Aegis to another. )-
Level 10
-Vigorous Flap, 75 mana, 100 stamina, 8 Seconds, none, -( The Aegis thrashes his wings to emit a powerful gust at a single target. The ability deals 100-150 damage based on how close the target is, (Deals more damage to distant targets). The gust can reach a maximum of 5 blocks in distance, where it will deal the most damage if it hits an enemy. Also, if Vigorous Flap hits an enemy in the air, the enemy will be interrupted from his/her flight and slowed for 2 seconds upon landing. (This is one ability that im willing to name anything else...) )-
Level 15
-Areal Leap, none, 300, 12 seconds, none, -( The Aegis flaps his wings once, landing 3 blocks(Affected Heavily by agility) in front of his original location. The ability will tremble the ground, forcing enemies within 3 blocks of the Aegis' landing location, to take 70-30 damage. The damage is decreased based on the number of enemies hit. The more enemies hit the less the damage deals, down to a minimum of 30. While enemies may tremble, allies will gain inspiration instead. In the same sense, Allies within 3 blocks of the Aegis' landing location will gain 2 strength for 2 seconds, and 1 intelligence for 4 seconds.
Level 20
-Stand Resolute, none, none, 15 seconds, none, -( The Aegis focuses on his internal resolution, after 4 seconds of focus the Aegis regenerated 25% of his stamina. However, if the Aegis is in combat while using Stand Resolute, the charge time is decreased to 3 seconds, which can be halted if the Aegis takes more than 2 and 1/2 hearts of damage. on the contrary, if the Aegis successfully completes the ability in combat, he will regain 15% of his maximum stamina instead.
Level 30
-Take Flight, none, 235, 11 second cooldown After Landing, Feather, will not be consumed, -( The Aegis spreads his/her wings and takes flight. For the 6 second duration the Aegis can fly with random, but short, drops (Adds realism to the flight). The fly speed is slightly faster than normal. Also, while in the air, the Aegis takes double damage and will be knocked down if hit. However, If the Aegis is already in combat, Take Flight only lasts 3 seconds, but will not take double damage when afflicted by damage. Furthermore, while the Aegis is in combat, it will take 2 hits to knock him/her down. )-
Level 37
I apologize for the double spacing, it randomly turned on and i dont know how to turn it off.....
-Rushed Defense, 320, 225, 25 second cooldown, Sign (Because doors don't stack ,_,) Will consume one sign per ability used. -( In a desperate attempt to protect an ally, the Aegis breaks the barriers of speed and teleports to an ally within 5 blocks (10 blocks if both the Aegis and teleport receiver are not in combat). After teleporting, both the ally and Aegis gain 3 constitution and health regeneration for 3.5 seconds, These stats are halved for the Aegis (The aegis gains 1.5 constitution and health regen for 1.5 seconds). )-
Level 45-65
- Honestly, i have only thought of abilities up to this part. I'll probably edit the post later to add in the remaining abilities. For now, i need sleep. this took me about 4 hours so i really hope you guys like it, if not, i respect constructive criticism and would love some feedback. Thank you to those who read the class all the way through, and for those who didn't, thank YOU for still taking a glimpse at the post
. Althought this class has like... a 3% chance of being a reality, I thought it would still be fun to do. Bye bye
